A jane of many trades, Gia Mora (AEA, SAG Must Join) works as an actor, vocalist, and model across the United States. She recently received her third Helen Hayes nomination for the world premiere musical Cool Papa's Party at MetroStage. Last season she was elated to be part of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company's Helen Hayes nominated cast of She Stoops to Comedy. She also received a Helen Hayes nomination, supporting actress, in 2007 for her work in A Prayer for Owen Meany at Round House Theatre.

Other recent performances include Rep Stage (Lenora) in God's Ear, Shakespeare Theatre Company (Angelique in The Imaginary Invalid, dir. Keith Baxter, dance captain for Gillian Lynne), Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Jackie Kennedy/Dolley Madison/Etc. in Chasing George Washington, world premiere musical), and Arena Stage (Winged Victory/Kay Yagel in Christmas Carol 1941, world premiere musical).

An accomplished film actor, she garnered a 2007 Best Acting Award from the DC 48-Hour Film Project for her work in Integral Arts' Mementos. With writer/director Barry Gribble, she has her own YouTube series, Shrinkage. She also appeared in the FOX Television pilot, Saving Corporate America. Her latest film, Woman’s Picture, written and directed by Brian Pera, will debut in 2010, and her on-camera work can be seen in commercials and industrials throughout the nation.

In addition to acting, Miz Mora headlines as a vocalist, headlining at venues including Blues Alley, Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, Rusty Scupper, Henley Park Hotel, 49 West, and Bethesda Theatre. She also performs as Gladys in “the world’s best band,” Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra. In 2008 she had the honor of singing at a command performance at the White House for the Bush family. Miz Mora is a proud third generation jazz musician and began singing on her father's gigs at age 3. She released her first CD, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, featuring Unified Jazz Ensemble, in December 2009.

Miz Mora graduated summa cum laude and with honors in Screenwriting/Playwriting from the University of Colorado. She is currently based out of Washington, DC, living there with her partner, Brad, and their two cats, Spanky and Haas.
